St. Augustine, FL, November 21, 2016 — Le Macaron French Pastries, a Florida-based French pastry concept, has announced the reopening of the St. Augustine, Florida, franchise location at 8 Cathedral Place.
The company’s owner, Sabine Juskowiak, relocated to St. Augustine from Chamonix, France in August 2016 to open a Le Macaron French Pastries franchise. On October 8, just two months into the launch of the business, Hurricane Matthew devastated portions of the southeastern United States, including St. Augustine.
“We thought we had lost everything after the hurricane hit, and it was heartbreaking to see all of our work wiped out that quickly,” said Juskowiak. In addition to the support of the Le Macaron French Pastries company, St. Augustine residents reached out to Juskowiak to offer assistance in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew. “We owe a huge thank you to the St. Augustine community for their support and motivation to get the store back up and running. Many people came to us to offer help, and that shows the kindness of the community.”
To give back to St. Augustine during the devastation, Juskowiak and her Le Macaron French Pastries team shared macarons with first responders and community members. “We wanted to give back, and our delicious products helped brighten everyone’s days as we all worked to recover.”
